36. Webb A. Smith, PhD - Clinical Exercise Physiologist
Webb A. Smith, PhD serves as Clinical Exercise Physiologist in the Heart Institute and Pediatric Obesity Program at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN. Le Bonheur’s Pediatric Obesity Program includes their Healthy Lifestyles Clinic, which brings together a multidisciplinary team of pediatricians, registered dietitians, fitness specialists and behavioral health coaches to help children and adolescents manage their weight. He also serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, College of Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN.
Dr. Smith specializes in clinical exercise physiology and exercise prescription. Dr. Smith has broad experience with exercise as part of medical care in children with a complex medical diagnosis. Dr. Smith’s clinical research interests include heart failure and transplant, pediatric obesity, health related physical fitness, and exercise prescription, which he has used in authoring/co-authoring over 30 peer reviewed publications.
