27. Sara Hanai - Family Resource Center Director

Though her degree is in Physical Therapy, Sara Hanai currently serves as the Director of the Junior League Family Resource Center at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Prior to that she was a Senior Patient Experience Consultant with Vanderbilt Medical Center and the Parent 2 Parent Program Manager for Family Voices of Tennessee.  Originally from Philadelphia, she has lived in Nashville, TN since 1999 where she has raised 4 children with her husband, Ramin. Her children, and the time they have spent at Monroe Carell are what motivated her to change career paths to be able to support patients and families along their healthcare journeys.

Sara’s work is so similar to the heart and mission of the Forrest Spence Fund and this was such a great conversation with her!
